people checking in every day.
calling me at any and all weird hours of the night.
driving me around because i don’t have a car.
making me albums of their favourite songs to listen to to cheer me up.
inviting me to come visit and stay with them if i need a break from perth or being with my parents.
being so understanding when i bail or change my mind last minute because my mood has suddenly shifted.
i am so incredibly lucky!!!
so today i wanted to talk about the power of dance floor therapy.
as i have stated previously being manic is kind of like being on hard core drugs.
everything is intense.
all of your senses are heightened.
so music sounds amazing.
dancing with your friends and being held by them feels amazing.
the colours and people’s outfits look amazing.
meeting new people and asking them a million question is incredibly mentally stimulating.
being around people on drugs at a party is obviously risky when manic and having intrusive thoughts.
so please do as i say not as i do and listen to your body, your boundaries and talk to a trusted adult or therapist or friend to create a safety plan before you go and do this.
